      <image:title>About - About Me</image:title>
<image:caption>With a background in both domestic philanthropy and international development – as well as deep experience in the sports industry – I’m passionate about leveraging strategic communications and purpose-driven partnerships to support programs that drive meaningful social change. As a communications specialist, development strategist, and nonprofit operations leader, I work at the intersection of mission and message. I design equitable solutions to complex social issues, mobilize resources from values-aligned individuals and institutions, and elevate the stories that inspire collective action. Currently, I serve as Communications Manager at Mount Tamalpais College, where I lead messaging and storytelling efforts to expand access to higher education for incarcerated individuals at San Quentin Rehabilitation Center and beyond. Our mission is to foster civic engagement, equity, critical thought, and personal agency – inside and outside prison walls. Previously, I served as Director of Communications for Shooting Touch, an international sport-for-development nonprofit with programs in the Unites States and East Africa. In this role, I spent three years working on-ground in Rwanda to expand access to basketball-for-development programs in rural communities, utilizing the power of sport to improve public health, gender equality, and upward mobility opportunities for thousands of youth, women, and their families. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, I’m deeply passionate about social justice, global equity, African history and contemporary studies, the environment, and the role of sport and new media in advancing cultural movements and community power. I hold a B.A. in Communication with honors from UC Santa Barbara, along with a Certificate in Sport Management. Learn More: Writing | Consulting | Contact</image:caption>
